Vermin is a series of comics about an inner city punk in super natural trouble. Obnoxious, alcoholic, skint, but otherwise absolutely charming, Vermin deals with a mid-twenties life of being bored and broke, until a chance encounter pits him against malevolent supernatural forces.

 

After university, I wanted something to work on that would channel my writing and artistic abilities.  I was wary of undertaking something that would be impossible to finish, so I decided on a short comic, and picked up my school-journal drawing style which I called ‘Simpsons On Meth.’ I finished the first two editions of Vermin that year, and am now working on a long form book.

 

Vermin is puritanically hand drawn and black and white - I want to maintain a DIY, slightly low-brow feeling; the kind of comic you might find in a zine. I intend to publish the latest Vermin comic ‘Vermin in Hell’ in late 2025.
