The Metalface Podcast is a podcast about heavy metal. Every episode the three of us contribute one album each from half a century of metal, and discuss it on the podcast. Occasionally we get distracted. 

 

I was president of the Exeter University Rock and Metal society, and me and a couple of friends talked a lot about starting a podcast. We felt there was a gap in the market for three regular guys discussing the metal albums they loved rather than covering new releases or following the demands of sponsorship.

 

We learned the basics of building a podcast, setting up a limited company and a website, and learned how to edit and produce it ourselves. We even hired a metal musician to write us intro music. In 2021 we were the 21st most popular music commentary in Norway for two whole days, and we received attention from artists and record labels keen to have their work featured

 

After a long hiatus, we are back recording, and sharing our love of all things metal.
